US Navy has 26 warships with confirmed Coronavirus cases.
The US Navy has 26 warships with confirmed coronavirus cases aboard, CNN reported, citing an unnamed official source in the Navy. All of the boats are reportedly in port, with a "very small number of cases aboard", as on 14 other Navy ships that had COVID-19 cases "in the past" the sailors are said to have already recovered.
The Navy does not share data on specific ships, after the Pentagon ordered in March made the information secret due to security risks.
Currently, the Navy has 297 active duty warships, and 90 ships are at sea without any coronavirus cases reported.
As of Wednesday, over 4,000 USS Theodore Roosevelt personnel have been tested for COVID-19 with 777 cases resulting positive. 63 people have already recovered from the virus, while one sailor died of coronavirus-related complications.

Corporal punishment at Pakistani schools and Madaris.
Today, violence
against children in most states is no longer defended in law, though it remains
common, as legislation in many countries confirms the "right" of
parents and others to impose on them.
Pakistan signed and ratified the United Nations
Convention on the Rights of the Children (UNCRC) on 12 November, 1990 and
Article 4 of this article urges that “States shall undertake all appropriate
legislative, administrative, and other measures for the implementation of the
rights recognized in the present Convention. After 18th Constitutional
Amendment it is responsibility of provincial government to ensure the
legislation for protection of children.
But this practice is still continued in almost
every government school and Madaris (Religious schools).Pakistan is home to
1.5m street children, 90% of whom have been abused. The most pervasive forms of
violence against children include neglect, corporal punishment meted out in
schools, seminaries and households; child sexual abuse, acid attacks on girls,
child marriages, killing and suicide, kidnapping and trafficking and
recruitment of children in armed conflict. Most children at schools across the
country, both girls and boys, are beaten. "The law, as it exists now,
permits parents or guardians, including teachers, to beat a child in "good
intent". This prevented police from acting on complaints of physical abuse.
It is also a matter of attitude. Teachers say they need to beat children to
teach them, but there is a need to educate teachers and pupils about child
rights.
The Pakistan Pediatric Association found last
year that over 88 percent of school-going children surveyed reported suffering
physical abuse. Experts believe inadequate teacher training, the lack of
legislation banning corporal punishment and the perception that it must be used
to teach children, are all factors behind the widespread existence of corporal
punishment. F.P. report. According to a
field study conducted by Plan Pakistan in Islamabad, Chakwal and Vehari districts
recently to gauge prevalence of corporal punishment among 8-18 year old
students, and to assess knowledge, attitude and practices of different
stakeholder related to this issue, the overall prevalence was found to be 89
percent, while in government schools, it was 91 percent and in private schools,
it was 86 percent. Surprisingly, religious seminaries were less prone to this
menace as the prevalence of corporal punishment was 83 percent there. It was
observed that punishment is practiced during 8 to 12 years age-bracket and the
most common reasons are because of the students making noise, fighting or
quarreling with their class-mates.
The most common form of physical punishment
handed out to children, according to 24% of the more than 300 students who were
surveyed, was to be beaten on the palms of the hand with a stick or ruler.
Twenty-two per cent said slaps on the face or head were most common. Other
popular answers were to be forced to stand or sit in an uncomfortable position,
to be struck with a stick or ruler on body parts other than the hand, and to be
kicked.
Violence against children remains culturally
entrenched as children in Pakistan have to cope with physical violence, sexual
abuse, trafficking, recruitment in armed conflicts and acid attacks. In the
absence of a national database on violence against children, the report relied
on secondary sources to give the prevalence of various forms of violence
against children.
According to a NGO advocating the rights of children,
35,000 high school pupils in Pakistan drop out of the education system each
year due to corporal punishment. Sahil, an organization working on child abuse
cases, compiles data referring it as “cruel numbers” from national and local
newspapers to keep the children’s sexual and physical abuse issue alive in the
domain of the child protection dialogue. The children, who survive the abuse,
often experience guilt, shame, and self-blame. Corporal punishment is the main
reason behind the drop out of students from schools. The teachers find it a
useful technique to make the students obedient. But in fact for this reason so
many children refuse to come in the school. When the teacher beat the students
they became afraid of him/her and try to avoid attending the class of that
teacher.
Madaris the religious schools are involved in
physical and sexual abuse of children. The teachers are addicted to using
sticks while teaching Quran. But the government has ignored physical violence
in these madaris and serious efforts were taken against it. Use of corporal
punishment in Islamic schools literally means to beat the devil’ out of
children. Over 70 % of teachers in Pakistan agree with the statement that
corporal punishment is useful. The government of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa province
banned corporal punishment in primary schools in 1999. A year later, the
governments of Balochistan and Punjab issued directives to all teachers not to
use corporal punishment on children. The Sindh government also issued similar
orders in 2007.
But the fact is that, despite a campaign at
government level and awareness-raising efforts by NGOs, the directives remain
poorly implemented.
The Pakistan Paediatric Association found last
year that over 88 percent of school-going children surveyed in Karachi reported
suffering physical abuse.
Experts believe inadequate teacher training, the
lack of legislation banning corporal punishment and the perception that it must
be used to teach children, are all factors behind the widespread existence of
corporal punishment.

War is destruction.
In my entire life i didn't see peace in my country. I was born in 1965 during Pak Indian war, even before that we had a war with India in 1948 on Kashmir issue. The next war with India occurred in 1971. Soon after this we got involved in Afghan war in 1978. In the middle another adventure occurred with India in Kargel in 1999 which resulted in lots human loss. After 9/11 America attacked Afghanistan in 2001, and till today we are playing our role as a front state in war against terror. After the downfall of Taliban govt terrorism spread across Pakistan which took the lives of more than 70000 civilians and armed forces. Still our forces are fighting against these elements in the larger part of the country including FATA. This war is so far endless. The terrorists and extremists are still capable to attack at any part of the country. No signs are seems to end this war too.
At the mean time tension between Pakistan and India is on peak due to Kashmir issue and Uri camp attack inside India. Having a little knowledge of history I didn't see any other country involved in such a long war in other part of the world. There were conflicts and wars in almost every part of the world but finally people got tired of wars and they raised slogans for peace which pressurized the governments and finally peace was restored in those countries.
But unfortunately in case of a India and Pakistan masses are more emotional and willing about war instead of peace. It could be observed from the posts of the people of both countries on social media. In other words they pressurizing their governments to start war.
This is the very bad luck of this region and people. Both countries are in the war since their independence from Britain rule in 1947. Instead of pay attention to eliminate poverty and to improve education and resources our all energies are wasting in wars and conflicts. We didn't learn from the history. Didn't learn from the past experiences of wars. We didn't learn from the destruction of wars in Afghanistan , Iraq, Libya and Syria. All these wars and destructions were witnessed by ourselves. But still the madness of war is spreading between the two countries. It should be discouraged and should be stopped. This is the responsibility of the people of both countries to stop hatred and wars. This is time to promote peace and to find peaceful solutions to conflicts such as Kashmir. Conflicts are never solved by wars which we experienced since 1947. The only way is to debate and to negotiate. This is our responsibility to work for peace and to urge our governments to stop wars. The elite never suffer but suffer the masses only which could be seen in the flood of millions of refugees from war affected countries towards Europe.
If dont work for peace and stability our end fortune shall not be different from those countries which are under war.

We have to learn from history.
Time to take right decisions to eliminate terrorism.
Peshawar School incident of 16th December 2014, reminds me the similar attack in Russia in 2004. The Beslan school hostage crisis (also referred to as the Beslan school siege or Beslan Massacre) began when armed Muslim terrorists took more than 1200 school children and adults hostage on 1 September 2004, at School Number One (SNO) in the Russian town of Beslan in North Ossetia. Which resulted in the death of 385 people including 186 children.
This was a big tragedy in the history of Russia. And after this allot of questions were raised about Russian security , govt ,law enforcement agencies and intelligence agencies .
The attackers were from Chechnya and Ingushetia who were fighting against Russian govt . Russians were also confused like our govt and didn't pay enough attention to them. But after Beslan School incident Russian security forces and intelligence agencies took a strong hold and got the support of all nation in war against those terrorists . Russia attacked the hideouts of those so called Muslim terrorists . Majority of them were killed and so many escaped and ran away to other countries . As they had close relationships with Afghan militants who were fighting in Afghanistan and were establishing their bases in the tribal built of Pakistan near Afghan border.
Russia used its full power and succeeded in that war . And soon after that Russia started to get economical stability and peace in the country .
Peshawar School incident is a the national tragedy of our history . This is attack on our future . We have to learn from history and specially to learn from Russia. We don't have time to waste . Our govt and law enforcement agencies will have to take a serious action against all type of militants . There should be no difference between good or bad Taliban. A strong military intelligence based operation should be launched in every part of the country against the terrorists and their supporters . Those politicians who have sympathies for these terrorists should also be treated like terrorists. This is the last time for us and failing to it or flooding time will be the big threat to the geography and sovereignty of the country . The nation is ready . All political parties are ready and demanding action against religious terrorists and extremists .
Madaris are the nurseries of terrorism. Mulla is preaching jihad and hatred in society. These institutions should be banned immediately. More than 30000 Madaris are throughout the country. These Madaris don't produce any professionals but only religious extremists.
Every one is allowed to open a Madrasa . This has become a big profitable business. In the past these Madaris were used to prepare fighters for Alqaeda and Taliban and other religious fighters groups. But now after the arrival of ISIS in Afghanistan these religious fighters are joining ISIS. Mulla Aziz has already issued a deadline to govt to establish sharia law in the country. Today was the last day of his deadline. And instead of taking any action against him govt turned off mobile phones for more than 2 hours during Jumma prayers.
Looking at these actions of govt one can easily understand that how much our govt and law enforcement agencies are serious about terrorism.
Home minister delivered a speech in national assembly today where he said that there's no evidence that Madaris are involved in terrorism. This could be called the shameful statement of our entire history. This means that not only the interior minister but the whole govt is on the back of terrorists. In such case eliminating terrorism can be only a dream. If govt delays to take serious action to stop terrorism, may lead us to more destruction. There's no doubt that we will face worst situation than Iraq and Syria.
